Frequently asked questions
What is Nomad Inspiration and what kind of tours does it offer in Portugal?
Nomad Inspiration specializes in private tours and multi-day itineraries in Portugal, with personalized service and a relaxed atmosphere. We organize day trips in Lisbon, Sintra, Fátima, Douro, Porto, Algarve and beyond, as well as 5- to 25-day itineraries from north to south with a dedicated driver-guide.
What is the difference between a private tour and a regular group tour?
On a private tour, the vehicle and guide are exclusively for your group, with flexibility over schedules, stops and pace. A regular group tour follows a fixed itinerary and is shared with other travelers.
In which cities and regions of Portugal do private tours operate?
We offer private tours in Lisbon, Porto, Douro, Fátima, Sintra, Cascais, Algarve and many lesser-known inland regions. We also create longer itineraries that connect north and south through historic villages and landscapes beyond the traditional tourist circuit.
How do multi-day itineraries work in Portugal?
Our multi-day itineraries are designed to be stress-free and tailored to each traveler, ranging from 5 to 25 days. They can include transfers, travel between cities, restaurant suggestions, local experiences and daily support from your driver-guide.
Are the tours really tailored to my preferences?
Yes. Every tour is customizable: schedules, duration, stops, interests and pace can all be adapted. Share your travel ideas and we will design a tailor-made itinerary with local recommendations and thoughtful details.
What type of vehicle do you use for private tours?
We use comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz cars and vans for couples, families and small groups. The vehicle is chosen according to your group size, luggage and itinerary.
Do the driver-guides speak English or other languages?
Our driver-guides speak fluent English and are experienced with international travelers. Other language guides may be available on request, so please let us know your preference when asking for a quote.
Are private tours suitable for families with children and seniors?
Yes. We plan itineraries for all ages, including young children and grandparents, adjusting the pace, stops and walking time to provide comfort, safety and time to rest.
Are private tours suitable for senior travelers or those with reduced mobility?
Yes. We can adapt an itinerary with fewer stairs, longer stops and more convenient access. Let us know about any special needs so we can adjust the route, schedule and vehicle.
How can I book a private tour in Portugal?
Use the contact form to tell us your dates, group size and interests. We will reply with a personalized itinerary proposal and, once approved, confirm your booking.
How far in advance should I book my private tour?
We recommend booking several weeks or months ahead, especially for summer and holiday periods. For last-minute requests, we will do our best to help, subject to guide and vehicle availability.
What is included in the price of the private tour?
Prices usually include your driver-guide, private vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking, itinerary planning, insurance, Wi-Fi and bottled water. Monument entry, meals and specific activities can be included or suggested separately according to your preferred budget.
Do you offer pick-up from hotels, airports, or cruise ships?
Yes. We arrange pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, local accommodation, airport or cruise terminal when it is within the tour area. Otherwise, we will find the most practical and comfortable meeting point.
What local experiences can I include in my private tour?
We can suggest wine tastings, Douro wineries, typical restaurants, local markets, historic villages and less touristy landscapes. Photo stops, cafés with views and free time to explore at your own pace can also be included.
